I wonder how many other children from Ethiopia eat like my girls do? They have been home for two years now and they still eat as much as I do! Actually, they used to eat double this amount!
This is Briton's dinner beside Raine's. They are 'supposed' to be within two months of each other in age. She is a girl! Seems to make no difference! And have you seen how incredibly skinny she still is? I am curious about others with children from Ethiopia. Do yours eat a huge amount?

My daughter Summer is five, she has been home from Ethiopia for two years and she eats a lot I always say that she eats like a man. I remember your daughters from Addis.

yep.huge amounts. 5 yr old included. but they are not into sweets like many other kids seem to be. sk
Yes, big appetites here too, usually, but if they are having too much fun, or not interested in the particular food, they can go a long time on very little without any complaining.
Mine is from SA, and her eating rivals Grandma Lottie's. Grandma Lottie could outeat any & all of the men seated at my monther's table during family events. And go back for seconds. Unfortunately for Petunia (& Grandma Lottie), she lacks the height to help carry it well (ok, at all) - we've have had to work with her on stopping when full, and also have her on a food combining diet so that she doesn't weight 500 pounds.
Giant amounts for Elijah, always! He has thirds of everything.
Sedaya only eats a lot of what she really likes.
3 boys from Uganda, and all eat much more than their US counterparts.
Our 1st bio son ate huge amounts of food and our 2nd bio son has to be made to eat.
Yup - a lot. At communal meals (like at daycare) they are the last kids to stop eating - always! And they eat as much as a small adult much of the time.
