Private?

I am seriously wondering about the need to go private. Please email me if you would like to continue following my blog if I do go private. I would have to sign your emails and send you an invite.

I will leave this question open for a week and see what happens. I have had this thought in the past and didn't go forward with it. But really I go back and forth with this, as I like to share our stories with friends and family (who would be happy to sign up for private), but then I know that there are other families who are adopting that find the adoption posts helpful.

Please, if you want to sign up for private, please let me know in a sentence or two your reasons. If you are a friend, then I will know that. If you are an adoptive mum then it helps me to decide what to do. I hope you understand. Thanks for helping me make this decision (again!)

hi Justine,
I would love to keep following - I've been reading since before your girls came home and am still waiting for our own referral.

Love reading about your family, large family life, enjoy your parenting wisdom, LOVE the way you parent your older boys and am inspired by the work ethics you have instilled in them. Also, loving the house building updates. Would love to continue following, and would miss you much if you went to just friends and family, though I can understand the need to do so.

I would like an invite. I'm interested in continuing to follow your journey in homeschooling and adoption. One, for work: Blogging for Sonlight, I like reading what homeschoolers are blogging about [smile]. One, for personal edification: We've walked the adoption path for 2+ years now, and despite it not ended with the kids become a part of our family, adoption is still an aspect of my life that may or may not resurface in the future.

You don't know me but I found your blog through another friend. I enjoy reading your blog for the homeschooling stories as I am considering going that route with my kids when they get old enough. :) You don't need to publish this comment but I would love it if you would allow me to continue reading your blog when you go private (if not, I understand). My google account address is adamandsaraens@hotmail.com. Thanks.

Hi Justine,

I would definitely like to keep reading. As we have upped our age request, I am always interested to see how you cope with attachment and other adoption related stuff. As a mom of 2 boys, I also like to see how you deal with all the 'boy stuff' as they get older!!!

If you go private, please invite me! Adoption, homeschooling, big families, sisters in Christ... you are an inspiration!

I would love to keep reading! Have been following for years, and love connecting with adoptive (and especially fellow Canadian!) families as I hope to adopt sometime in the future.

HI Justine,
I saw Raymond this weekend, and because of the blog, feel a little closer to your family. Do what you wish... I understand your decision... But it's fun for me to hear your tips and to feel that no matter how busy things might get here, there are extraordinary mothers out there!

While I haven't been much of a commenter lately, I'm still drinking in all the posts about the kids and how they are doing. I would love to keep following, but if you'd rather, I can just keep up with you on FB. ;)

Hi Justine! I would definitely sign up for private; I love reading about how you parent your large family, and also about homeschooling. I got into your blog through my sister, Emily, who also adopted from Ethiopia :)

Hi Justine

I enjoy reading your blog, and have since we started our adoption. We were both waiting for referrals of siblingss (you with Imagine, us with CAFAC) and you received the two girls and we received a beautiful 5 1/2 year old daughter (who just turned 7). We are currently waiting for another referral of siblings or a single (ages 3 - 7 years). I would love to be included if you do go private.

Thanks,

Jody

Hi Justine

I read and enjoy your blog from the homeschooling angle particularly, having an interest in it as a professional in education. I discovered homeschooling during our sojourn in New Zealand and found my approach to education profoundly shifted as a result. Back here in the UK things are very different and I get a lot from keeping in touch with another view on things.

I also admire and enjoy your honesty, spontaneity and insight into parenting.

I would love to continue to read your blog, and I completely understand that you might want to go private with it. Please consider including me.

Hi Justine,
I love following your blog! I don't follow it all the time, but when I need to be inspired I find I am reading your blog. You and your family are inspiring. We are in the process of adopting. It is taking a LOT longer than we ever thought it would be. I learn so much about myself and how I want to raise our child through you and your family.
I would love to keep following your blog.

Justine,

It's been some time since I've read your blog but it's just as inspiring and open and candid as always. You may have decided against going private (seeing as the posts about "Private" are older and it's now Dec 10th) but if you do, I would dearly love to be able to continue following your journey.
